  1. Do you use patch cables? Wich ones?
And where do you find all those lovely looking manuals from Roland Corporation?

Silly questions maybe, but I thought of it yesterday

  2. I do use patch cables... but I've never been particular about them. I don't know what kind they are, just whatever the music store is selling.

And I find Roland manuals in the deepest, darkest corners of the earth.

  3. Do you like/use any Simmons products (particullarly the SDS)? I just acquired an SDS8 and am wondering if I could trigger its sounds by hooking it up to the CV/Gate on my Sh09.

  5. Yes, I have an SDS-8. I've had it for around ten years and I think it's great. I use it all the time. The thing is, you can trigger it from virtually anything. Just by a sound even! I used to trigger it from the individual outputs of my Sequential Circuits Drumtraks and then mix the two sounds together. You can certainly trigger it from your SH-09. But rather than triggering it from the gate output, try triggering it from the 09's audio output. The ADSR of your sound on the 09 will effect the length of the sound on your SDS-8.
