Pauline Oliveros

Just discovered this synthesizer heroine. It seems as though she's more into the accordion these days though. But she had a great look, in the vein of Delia Derbyshire.

Here she is with Morton Subotnick at the San Francisco Tape Music Center in 1963:

And here's a nice shot of Jim Henson (unrelated):

  1. Hi, I'm posting this here because it kinda relates with the "unrelated photo" :)

Have you heard of "Imagination Illustrated, The Jim Henson journal"? I guess maybe you have..

.. the thing is that I've been growing interested in it and I wanted to ask you if you did know something else about it. It sounds great! but it's not really cheap so I really have to think about this, and I thought I'd use some help, if that's alright.

  2. Hey Tona, I actually was aware of that book! Thanks for the heads up. It looks really cool, and while I've never read it, I did go to exhibition of a bunch of his old art work (that is in this book) last year. He was an amazing artist, so creative! I'm sure it's a great book!

  3. Oh! wow, that sounds better than I expected. I've seen few of his work but it was really inspiring. So many ideas.

Thank you, I think that maybe I know which is gonna be my Christmas gift this year. I can't wait to read it and be more and more inspired(and for that, start drawing and creating!)
